Republican primary

Since Will McBride has endorsed the FairTax, I think we should help him get the nomination. According to a poll, 54% of the people who said they would vote for Harris said they would change their vote if they were aware of another candidate. The latest poll said that McBride was at 22% and the primary election is not until September. Both the State and National Republican Parties have refused to support Harris and, reportedly, have even asked her to withdraw from the race. Although it is highly unusual that parties endorse a candidate before the primary election, it appears that this custom has not been followed with Representative Harris (even if it has been in reverse).
I realize that Dr. Noah has been an ardent supporter of the FairTax and I do appreciate it. However, the chances of an Independent of Third Party candidate of winning the general election in November are very, very slim.

No. She is running as an Independent, so will not be on any primary ballot in September. She will be on the ballot for the general election in November, running against Bill Nelson, who has no primary opposition, the Republican nominee, and the other Independent candidates.
No Independent candidate has every won a statewide election in Florida, and very, very few have won in other states.

Yes any FairTax supporter that is a registered Republican should vote for Will McBride in the Republican primary as he is the only Republican in the Senate race that supports the FairTax.
However, nobody who is currently running is as much as a FairTax supporter as Dr. Noah. She made the decision to run for the Senate simply to pass the FairTax. She is campaigning for the Senate on the FairTax and truly believes this should be law and is spending money promoting the FairTax. This is the type of candidate that we need in office and whether or not she actually wins she is going to get my vote come November.
If Will McBride loses the Republican primary we have nothing to lose by voting for Dr. Noah in the general election. Harris has proven to be completely untrustworthy on the FairTax with all the times we've heard she would cosponsor, her talk about appearing at the rally and then cancelling at the last minute, and her continuous flop-flop attitude towards the FairTax. Mel Martinez promised to cosponsor and fight for the FairTax once elected to the Senate and now he is as non-committal as Sen. Nelson is.
We always hear about the FairTax grassroots base saying they will vote for a candidate who supports the FairTax no matter what their party is. We now have one who goes much beyond this. Whether or not an independant has won before is besides the point, this same argument is used against the FairTax passing and it doesn't stop us, no to mention we do have an Independant in Congress and also even a Libertarian (though part of the Republican Party) in Ron Paul. Voting by party-line ans the lesser of two evils is what has corrupted our system today. I renounced these ideas by registering with the only National Party that has endorsed the FairTax being the AFP and pledging my vote for Dr. Noah for the Senate. If Will McBride wins the Republican primary and Noah drops out to support McBride I will then vote for him.
