It looks as if the dedication and support from FairTaxers in District 15 whose encouragement have finally persuaded Dr. Bowman to read the FairTax Book (two given to him by Charlie Donovan) and he now says he is FOR it. His direct quote below:

I finally read the book, and YES I support the FairTax. I have long advocated eliminating payroll taxes. This is a way to do that and get rid of the IRS as well. OK! I will add the FairTax to my legislative agenda.

Due to Mel Martinez's apparent "support" for the FairTax during his 2004 Senate campaign, we should remain a little bit skeptical (albeit appreciate for his stated support) until we see that he mentions it on his campaign website, and pledges to go against Democratic leadership and join Rep. Boren as the only two democrats to sign this bill.
