Two-hundred years ago, the founding fathers of this country kept petitioning the King of England with redress of grievances brought upon this nation by the Crown. The King stopped listening, and even went so far as to enact a tax on tea. So we went into Boston Harbor, we tossed that tea overboard, and galvanized a nation. That got the King’s attention.

It's time to throw another Tea Party!

Many Americans are disgusted with the government and feel, rightly, that they are no longer represented. We are being taxed, and our tax money being used without our consent, in ways that are flat out wrong. We hate the pork spending we see every day while our government spends more and more money that they have borrowed, which leads to even more taxes in the future. After years of ignoring our petitions and pleas, we once sent a message to the King of England that he couldn’t ignore Let’s send a signal to Washington that has its roots in the origin of our country, one that they can not be misunderstood.

Here’s how to do it. Write your Senators and Representatives a letter, with details of where you take issue with their actions. Send a physical letter, not an email. Then tuck a tea bag into the letter. Send it to the local offices and the Washington DC offices.

I think this is a heck of an idea, and it is suited to the FairTax. We’re trying to enact a tax replacement revolution, and I think it’s time to throw a FairTax Tea Party. My Representative and Senators are going to receive a letter and a tea bag from yours truly. I suggest others do the same.

A physical tea bag will make the biggest impact, but there is another option. Send out a Tea Bag Postcard. Send it to congress; send it to your state legislators. Post it at the grocery store—just spread the word.

Download a 4-up postcard at FLFairTax.net/images/teabagpostcard.pdf. This pdf will require double sided printing and extended or maximum printing area.

Cheers!
