Bringing the FairTax message to the Democratic Ways and Means chairman Rep. Charles Rangel, the new Democratic chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, has recently made media appearances where he has stated that under his leadership Congress will develop a tax policy that is “fair.” As we all know, our reform proposal meets his definition and can appeal to the vast majority of taxpayers who know the income tax system is beyond mere “tinkering.” While not advocating the “FairTax,” he has said it is important that our federal tax system be fair.
Here is our chance to powerfully make our views known to the new chairman of the tax writing Ways and Means Committee and to offer an important Democratic House leader the chance to fundamentally reform federal tax policy. ACTION: Please send your e-mail message with your best argument(s) for the FairTax and complete with your name and address to

We will bundle all messages together and forward all to Mr. Rangel’s office. Your message can be as simple as, “I believe the FairTax can unite the country and is good for America’s taxpayers and our economy,” to the most sophisticated economic, social, or political argument you care to make. But it’s all about making our voices all work together at once so please ask friends, colleagues, and family to each send a message. Please act today to send your message to Congressman Charles Rangel, chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Be sure to include your name and address. Thank you for continuing our work for a better nation. FairTax.org
